Congratulations to E.C. of Ghana for successfully conducting this year election and also, bravo to all electorate.I could see the E.C. future still brighter than the current,but what does it actually holds? Let upgrade our general election in 2016 to fully biometrics so that the machine would not be use for just verification only.The process of verification is very laudable in this year election.It benefit is much appreciated, it has been able to prevent double registration.E.C. reputation was also magnified and the credibility of the election is been accesses.Guess what, still needs to clear all doubt on the mind of the loosing party and make the result 100 per cent credible.
Could the verification machine performed better?Where the verification fails to identify someone can there be any other means to verify such a person? I guess pictures on the I.D. cards can just do that.
Biometrics voting would eliminate paper voting.The paper voting process could be the thing of the passed.Biometric registration can also be devoid of rejected votes.Biometrics voting which allouws electorat vote cast tranfer electronically to it collation center will be devoide of all kinds of dout and untrust of the result of E.C. by the losing party.Thus doutness of the credibility of the result would be the thing of the pased.
